Hi everyone! I had mentioned in another discussion how I found information on an accessible TV being developed. I just found and filled out a survey on that website. Actually, you would look for a link at mentions a questionaire, and there will be one for UK residents and another for non-UK residents. I would encourage blind and visually impaired people to fill it out, as although the official survey is over, I think they'd still be interested in our input. To read more on this, the website is: http://www.atv-survey.org.uk/. Thanks!
If you don't want to wait for a whole new tv, then just get a usb one.
Its like the size of a usb fumb drive, just slots into the port, the program works great with hal, there only like £40 and for that you get freeview, dunno if you have that in the usa.
BEN.
Hmm. Sounds interesting. What's the name of it? And what is "freeview"?
Have a look on this froogle result for people in the usa btw:

O freeview is something that we have in the uk that just gives you some other chanells other than the standard anerlog ones.
You pay £50 for the box, and then you dont have to pay anything monthly for it ever again.
BEN.
Cool. Thanks. *smile* I'll look into that as well then. I wonder if any of the other screen-readers would work with it? I only have a full version of JAWS 7.0 and a demo version of WindowEyes. I also think I can get the demo of Hal back, but of course the demo is only 30 minutes at a time. But that does sound neat anyways.
Well it shood work qwith jfw or what ever you have tbh.
I just said hal coz thats what i use.
BEN.
the software shipping with the nepbula USB master, is also accessable with jfw.
how does that work and where do you plugg that in. do u use that on the computer?
